Zerk Grease-Nipple Clearing Tool T&E Tools 9910 ​

• This tool will clear blocked grease nipples

• Fill with oil or grease, hold against the nipple and strike with a hammer to hydraulically clear the grease nipple and fitting

Function: It hydraulically clears grease nipples and fittings of hardened matter.

Operation: Fill the inner chamber with oil or light grease, hold it firmly against the blocked nipple, and strike the piston end with a hammer.

Fitment: It is compatible with both straight and angled zerk-style grease fittings.

How it Works

1. Chamber Filling: You unscrew the internal piston plunger and fill the tool’s inner chamber with a low-viscosity fluid. Liquid penetrating oil, diesel, or light lubricating oil work best. Avoid aerosol sprays, as tiny air bubbles can cause the plunger to bounce.
2. Coupling: The nozzle end attaches directly over the blocked straight or angled Zerk fitting.
3. Hammer Strike: You tap or strike the top of the piston with a hammer. This action creates high-pressure hydraulic shockwaves and intense vibration, forcing the solvent past the stuck ball-check valve to dissolve and flush out dried, crusty grease
