• Operation: Principal component of this type of wrench is a helically wound coil spring
• When grip is turned, spring compression changes the load on the over the centre torque mechansim
• When the desired torque is achieved the load on the over the centre mechanism is overcome by the applied torque and an audible signal and impulse is produced
• Torque Wrench Capacity: To determine torque wrench capacity best suited for an application, many factors must be considered
• However, as a recommendation, use a torque wrench in the middle 50% of the overall capacity of the tool
• This will result in longer tool life, ease of use for the operator & increased accuracy from the "Clicker" type torque wrench
